Mental Health Action

Mental Health Action

The Lamka Suicide Survey is the first independent Action Research Project undertaken by Nest. The survey captures the high and alarming incidences of suicide deaths in Lamka town, where the objective is to generate awareness about Mental Health, and most importantly, gain deeper understanding about the problem so that Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Action initiatives can be better designed based on contextualised needs.

  • The Nest Mental Health Action program provides mental health care support to suicide survivors by engaging them in counselling and rehabilitation processes.
  • Nest also provides mental health awareness and personalised support to people with mental illnesses within its own capacity.
  • Mental health awareness building and supporting mental health practitioners in Lamka is one of the main objective of this program.
